Present at the ninth edition of MipCancun, the head of Latin America and Iberia of the distributor acquired by Night Train Media, commented on the new titles for the Hispanic American market.
Eccho Rigths, a distribution company recently acquired by Night Train Media, was another of the European companies present at the ninth edition of MipCancun, an event that takes place from November 13 to 16, at the Moon Palace Hotel.
“MipCancun is one of the most important markets for us, because it has a very important and powerful Latin American presence. We came last year and this time we are returning to its fullness. Everyone is there, things are moving, there is a much better atmosphere, and I think that, despite the different crises in the territories, there is a hunger for new content, and the classic stories from novels are once again found within the territories” Barbora Suster, head of Latin America and Iberia at Eccho Rights, told ttvnews.
The company, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, in addition to Turkish content, is also focusing its business on premium series from the United Kingdom.
“We have a very large leg of our catalog that is growing a lot, which is the UK drama, more premium series; more paid content than that of the novel”, commented Suster.
In parallel, the business of distributing Turkish novels or dramas continues to be the company’s core business, or as the executive herself defines, its “flag ship”.
“This season of the second half of 2022, we start it with one of the best titles that Turkey has seen lately, which is Golden Boy, which is achieving ratings on Star TV that have not been seen in the last four or five years, reaching 12 points, and obviously it is attracting attention, and we are already closing the first agreements,” he said.
