Dennis Cornelisse and Wynand Chocolaad will join the board to strengthen the development portfolio and the creative team.

Banijay Benelux confirmed the new management team of NL Film, the group’s Dutch-owned production company, which will now have a new managing director, Dennis Cornelisse, and a new head of productions, Wynand Chocolaad, who are already executing their new roles.

Peter Lubbers, CEO of Banijay Benelux, noted that Dennis’s deep knowledge of the world of film and drama series, combined with his experience, proven track record, and leadership, make him the perfect candidate to take over NL Film. “I look forward to the next phase of growth and creative ambition he will bring to the label,” he said.

Cornelisse, who previously held the position of Producer at NL Film, replaces Alex Doff, COO of Banijay Benelux. Having been the driving force behind numerous successful productions such as The Golden Hour, Anoniem, Rundfunk, Neem me mee, Costa, and De Regels van Floor, he will take over the strategic direction of NL Film and strengthen the pipeline of projects in development.

Chocolaad joins the creative team as Head of Productions to strengthen the team. Formerly at Lemming Film, he brings a wealth of experience, having spent 16 years at NL Film, where he created and maintained strong ties with the creative team. In addition to overseeing all productions, he will ensure that the departments receive all the necessary support.

Recent successes for Amsterdam-based production company NL Film include Golden Hour (NPO), Modern Love (Amazon Prime Video), and the feature film Costa.
