Next week, Audiovisual from Spain will showcase original content made in Spain to the Asian market during the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF). This event is considered the most significant entertainment industry market in the Asian region.
Audiovisual from Spain is the umbrella brand of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones for the internationalization of Spanish audiovisual content companies, made up of the companies Atresmedia Televisión, DeAPlaneta Entertainment, Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, Motion Pictures, Onza Distribution, RTVE and The Mediapro Studio.
During ATF 2023, Audiovisual from Spain organized the second breakfast edition for Asian buyers under the title Spain’s Content Goldmine: in demand like never before. This event provided a platform for Spanish distributors to showcase their latest productions to more than 40 buyers from the Asia-Pacific region.
This meeting will include a brief presentation on Spanish content consumption in the Asia-Pacific region by Fred Black, Principal Analyst and Head of Commissioning Research at Ampere Analytics.
Notable productions to be presented by Spanish distributors include Atresmedia Televisión, Déjate Ver; DeAPlaneta Entertainment, Nina & Olga; Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, Urban; Motion Pictures, Chipi Chapi Songs; Onza Distribution, Relatos Salvajes de Madrid; RTVE, La Moderna; The Mediapro Studio, Las Pelotaris, 1926; A Spanish animation project, finalist in the ATF x TTB Animation Lab & Pitch.
The animated feature film Musgo is the only Spanish project chosen among the nine finalists participating in the ATF x TTB Animation Lab & Pitch, the first edition of this new pitching session that selects European and Asian animation projects focused on young adult audiences in search of financing and co-production opportunities. Producer Jordi B. Oliva, from the Catalan company Imagic TV, will present the project at the pitching session on Thursday 7th, from 12:00 to 13:30.
The initiative has included several online workshops for the finalists during the previous months in which they have been given keys to setting up co-productions between Europe and Asia, tips on making a successful pitch, and personalized advice on their projects and financing strategies. The organization will also coordinate one-on-one meetings between the candidates and executives interested in learning more about their projects after the pitch.
