The Atresmedia network began promoting De hoy en un año, the Spanish version of the British format distributed by ITV Studios, which has been filmed without broadcasting since 2018.
“Everyone has a dream: being a mother, going skiing or losing weight are some of them. Our contestants will have a year to make it happen, will they make it happen? At the end of that time, Pedro García Aguado will check if they have fulfilled their dream or not”.
With those words, Antena 3 began promoting the “very soon” premiere of De hoy en un año.
This is the adaptation of the British format This Time, Next Year, created by TwoFour and distributed by ITV Studios, and whose original version was broadcast by ITV for three seasons, between 2016 and 2019.
Atresmedia had announced the acquisition of the rights in 2016, and in 2018 promoted the next premiere of the adaptation. However then they decided not to premiere it.
Now, the halt in production due to the Covid-19 pandemic has led Antena 3 to review its own available content, and thus the reality format will finally come to light.
In De hoy en un año, the host Pedro García Aguado will show the way that different participants have worked for 365 days to fulfill a dream of self-improvement.
