The former Apple TV+ and Sony Pictures executive will oversee new projects, content production, and the company’s international expansion.

Dynamo, the powerhouse behind some of Latin America’s most ambitious productions — including One Hundred Years of Solitude and Narcos — is strengthening its leadership by naming Angélica Guerra as Partner and Chief Strategy Officer. A highly respected executive with an impressive track record at Apple TV+, Sony Pictures, Telemundo, and Caracol TV, Guerra will oversee new projects, content production, and the company’s international expansion.

With more than 25 years of experience in the global audiovisual industry, Guerra will also lead Dynamo’s newly launched Franchises and Unscripted divisions, further broadening the company’s footprint in both scripted and unscripted formats.

Throughout her career, Guerra has been recognized as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 25 Women in Global Television, included in Multichannel News’ “40 Under 40” list, and featured in Forbes’ 2020 ranking of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Colombia.

In her most recent role, Guerra spent five years as Head of Apple TV+ for Latin America, leading the content strategy for Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President of Production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic at Sony Pictures Television. Earlier in her career, she was Executive Vice President at Caracol Televisión, Colombia’s leading broadcast network.

“Angélica’s arrival as a partner marks a milestone in our growth strategy, propelling us into new business areas that align with the evolving needs of our industry,” said Andrés Calderón, CEO of Dynamo. “Her leadership, experience, and strategic vision are widely recognized, and we’re confident she will be instrumental in Dynamo’s international expansion.”

Guerra added: “Dynamo has built an extraordinary legacy of bold, high-quality storytelling that resonates globally. I’m thrilled to join this talented team at such a pivotal moment, as we expand into new formats and push creative boundaries. With the launch of the Unscripted division, we’ll focus on discovering, creating, and adapting the most innovative formats for Latin American audiences and beyond. Meanwhile, our Franchises division will develop fiction properties with the potential to grow across multiple seasons and platforms. The opportunity to lead these new areas and bring fresh stories to audiences worldwide is incredibly exciting.”

With Guerra’s appointment, Dynamo is poised to accelerate its global ambitions, innovate across genres, and further solidify its position as a leader in premium content production.
