Amazon Prime Video revealed the trailer for its new Brazilian original, 5X Comédia, which will premiere on March 26.
The series is the television adaptation of the hit stage play and is produced by ViacomCBS International Studios and Dueto Produções.
With five 30-minute episodes, 5X Comédia features five stories with different directors, writers, and cast. The episodes are titled Hypochondriac, No Way Out, Online Sex, Cinderella, and Collapse.
The 5X Comédia theatrical franchise was launched in 1995. The format, originally conceived by Sylvia Gardenberg in 1995, is now adapted as an original television series created by her sister, filmmaker Monique Gardenberg. She is accompanied in the direction by Charly Braun, Pedro Coutinho and Rafael Primot.
Taking isolation as a starting point, each episode addresses the issue from different points of view, such as sex, work, relationships, family, loneliness, fear or the desire to live in a state of isolation.
The cast includes renowned actors and actresses, such as Gregório Duvivier, Katiuscia Canoro, Martha Nowill, Rafael Portugal, Roberta Rodrigues, Samantha Schmütz, Thati Lopes and Yuri Marçal.
