Amazon Prime Video revealed on Wednesday the first official trailer for its new original Mexican series, the comedy Cómo sobrevivir soltero, created by brothers Sebastián and Emiliano Zurita, and produced by Campanario Entertainment and Addiction House.
Along with the trailer, the OTT revealed that its international premiere will be on Friday, June 26, 2020.
The series follows a fictional version of Mexican actor Sebastián Zurita, who discovers, in a shameful and public way, that his girlfriend of 10 years cheated on him.
With his life in ruins after the humiliating breakup, this unlucky bachelor is thrown into the tortuous dating world and quickly discovers he has no idea how to navigate the new world of digital romance. Forced to accept the single life, Sebastián takes refuge with his single friends when he realizes that he is not the only unfortunate millennial who struggles to find love.
The showrunner and main writer is Marcos Bucay (Club de cuervos), with Jaime Muños de Baena, Roberto Flores, Rosa Clemente García, Andreina Borges and Cynthia Fernández Trejo, joining the list of writers.
It is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
It consists of 10 30-minute episodes and stars Sebastián Zurita with Fabrizio Santini (Señora Acero), Tato Alexander (Backdoor), Roberto Flores (Politically correct), Lucía Gómez-Robledo (Club de cuervos), Octavio Hinojosa (La prosecutor iron) and Pamela Almanza (Rosario scissors 2).
The series will also have an extensive list of special guests.
Cómo sobrevivir soltero joins other Amazon originals from Latin America such as De viaje con los Derbez, El presidente, Diablo guardián, LOL: Last One Laughing, Un extraño enemigo and El juego de las llaves.
