Amazon Prime Video announced an alliance with Record TV to produce and broadcast Game dos Clones, a Brazilian adaptation of The Story Lab’s Game of Clones format, in Brazil.
The British format Game of Clones will add its first version in Latin America this year, with the local adaptation of the dating show in Brazil, which will air under the local name Game dos Clones.
It comes thanks to an alliance between Amazon Prime Video and Record TV, which commissioned Endemol Shine Brasil to produce it and which will share the broadcasting rights: Amazon Prime Video will premiere first in all of Latin America and, the following week, Record TV will release it in Brazil.
The 10 episodes will air weekly.
Game of Clones was created by Youngest Media and originally premiered on E4 in the UK.
Since then it has added versions in the US (MTV), France (NRJ12) and Germany (RTL2). It is distributed by The Story Lab.
In each episode, a single man or woman details what their ideal candidate would be like physically. The production thus creates an avatar of it and, once the contestant gives their approval, they are presented with seven people who fit that profile.
Thus, he must go out on seven dates with the “clones”, who must also overcome several challenges. In the end, the contestants must choose the winning clone.
In Brazil, it will have a total of 10 50-minute episodes, one for each single person.
It will be hosted by Sabrina Sato and is currently being produced under strict safety regulations.
Game dos Clones will be the second original reality show on Amazon Prime Video in Brazil, after Soltos em Floripa.
