Leading independent distributor all3media International has signed its first deal with Canal Claro, it announced today, as the pan-Latin American pay TV network acquires a package of culinary-themed non-scripted content.
The deal includes seasons one and two of Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back (16 x 60’ in total), which sees chef Gordon Ramsay hitting the road in his state-of-the-art Hell on Wheels truck to revive failing restaurants, as well as fast-paced cooking competition Culinary Genius (20 x 60’), also featuring Gordon Ramsay. Both titles are produced by Studio Ramsay for Fox (UK).
Canal Claro has also acquired Frieda TV’s Cooking Up a Fortune (20 x 30’, for Channel 4), a culinary competition offering amateur chefs the chance to turn their food passion into their profession, and series 6 of Optomen’s Worst Cooks in America (7 x 60 , for Food Network USA), a rigorous culinary boot camp where two top chefs attempt to turn America’s worst kitchen disasters into culinary masters.
Janel Downing, VP Latin America at all3media International, commented: “We’re very pleased to partner with Canal Claro for the first time as these premium culinary-themed titles head to audiences in Latin America. Each show offers its own uniquely entertaining spin on the ever-popular food theme, whether it’s real-life stories, inspiring transformations, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities or wild challenges, ensuring wide audience appeal.”
