In a busy year, with many projects currently in production and many more already planned, production company Kapow made its way from Argentina to Los Angeles for a new edition of LA Screenings, with the goal of continuing to build ties with friends and industry partners.
“We came to LA Screenings with the goal of strengthening ties and negotiating potential new partnerships for Kapow and América Estudios in Peru,” Agustina Amiel, International Content and Business Executive for Kapow and América Estudios, began in a conversation with ttvnews.
Since its merger with the Peruvian group in 2021, Kapow has invested heavily in the Peruvian market, “working with great dedication and effort to bring Kapow’s expertise to Peru,” the executive explained.
In fact, just a few days ago, the production company announced its partnership with Dori Media for the format The Auction, which will have its first version produced at the end of this year, airing on América TV. “This type of synergy, where we can leverage the facilities and studios of América Estudios, is a priority for the production of original content, as well as third-party content. And that’s why we’re also working very carefully on building a catalog of longer-episode content for Peru,” she emphasized.
“We try to elevate the quality to generate products that, without betraying the appetite of the Peruvian audience, have the ability to travel internationally,” the executive added.
“We’re working on this at all levels of America Estudios, and at all levels of Kapow, we’re moving forward with our catalog of major projects in development, always looking for the ideal partner, because Kapow has that collaborative and agile spirit that allows us to operate within the different business models that the industry demands today,” Amiel stated.
In this sense, Kapow’s list of projects is long and varied: “We’re currently filming what will be the next season of Envidiosa, we’re in post-production on a project for Disney, and we’re already working on upcoming projects for the second half of the year and filming in 2026, which we hope to announce soon,” he concluded.
