The event opened its doors at the InterContinental Hotel, welcoming over 400 buyers and 100 exhibitors from 65 countries, who will gather for four days of networking, content showcases and more.
This Monday, June 23, marked the star of another edition of Natpe Budapest, the event designed to connect key players from the audiovisual industry across the CEE region.
This year, some of the industry’s biggest players have made their way to Budapest, with over 400 buyers and 100 exhibitors from more than 65 countries, who will gather for four days of high-impact networking, insightful sessions and exclusive content showcases at the deal-making capital of the summer.
The event will take place at the InterContinental Hotel until this Thursday, June 26, this time hosted in collaboration with the Dorothea Hotel, for an expanded experience. This year, some of the new initiatives are an expanded sitting area, replacing the conference space, with companies prioritizing face-to-face networking, while screenings and awards ceremonies are hosted at the Dorothea Hotel.
In this regard, players like Inter Medya are showcasing their newest titles, led by the successful Eshref Ruya; Pink Parrot Media, with series like My Brother The Monster and Go Fish+; or the newcomer Saroafilm, with productions from Romania like the film Kingdom of Judas.
Speaking of screenings, this first day saw two major players showcasing their newest productions, with Sony Pictures hosting its screening in the morning and A+E Global Media doing their own in the afternoon.
And to celebrate the start of this new edition of Natpe Budapest, the event hosted its traditional Opening Night Cocktail, followed by the NATPE Honors Europe Awards ceremony, which pays tribute to trailblazing individuals in the CEE Region whose creativity and visionary leadership are reshaping the entertainment industry.
The event will continue tomorrow with another day of activities at the InterContinental Hotel, including a keynote from YouTube’s Andeas Briese, showcases from AMC and Lionsgate, the Pitch & Play Live competition, and more.
