More than 80 million active accounts consolidated on the platform, an essential indicator of the company’s growth and scale
Leading U.S. and Mexico-based TV streaming platform Roku set a record of over 100 billion streaming hours played on the platform in 2023, with a record average of 4.1 hours per day per account in the fourth quarter.
In addition, it consolidated over 80 million active accounts, an essential indicator of the company’s growth and scale as consumers migrate to streaming TV.
Anthony Wood, founder and CEO of Roku, noted that in a world where all TV will be streaming one day, they are immensely proud to be the home screen leaders with over 80 million active accounts worldwide. “We’re connecting people directly to what they love to watch.”
In 2023, Roku launched its line of TVs and expanded the Roku TV licensing program to include more than 30 partners, extending the Roku operating system (OS) reach. In select markets, user experience upgrades, new features, and content discovery tools such as Sports Experience, What to Watch, All Things Food, and All Things Home were added to the platform.
