The Kitchen’s international growth plans, following the introduction of its first language services hub in Europe last October, have been the motivation for this addition to service this vast market.
The Kitchen announced the appointment of Julie Beneteau as The Kitchen’s new International Sales Director. Julie is based in London and will represent The Kitchen’s aggressive overseas client growth plans.
Most recently, Julie worked at Keywords Studios in London as Global OTT and Broadcast Director, working closely with the company’s international dubbing, audio description, subtitling and possonido teams.
She was also Director of Operations, OTT and Account Director of International Dubbing Services for BTI Studios, also in London; Studio Manager for Chellozone, managing 8 dubbing and subtitling studios in Central and Eastern Europe; and Head of Languages for the UK’s Extreme Sports Channel.
Deeny Kaplan, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented that Kitchen’s continued international growth plans, following the introduction of its first language services hub in Europe last October, require an industry professional with extensive knowledge and experience to service this vast market, and Julie is a perfect fit.
“Julie’s knowledge of all language localization processes is perfect, and her plans to expand the international reach of the studios are in line with the company’s ongoing expansion plan,” he said.
Beneteau noted that she is absolutely thrilled to join The Kitchen family. “London is a fantastic place to be in the media and entertainment industry and I can’t wait to grow The Kitchen’s client base. Keeping globalization on a human scale and thriving on quality has always been my mantra and so I am very confident in embarking on this new venture with The Kitchen team. The long and short term growth plans of the global studios mirror my own in terms of the direction the industry is taking and I am confident that The Kitchen’s approach to localization of all content is on the right track,” she added.
