ATV Distribution has added a new genre to its catalogue: kids content, provided by the channel Minika, part of the Turkuvaz Medya Group
A new genre has found its way into ATV Distribution vast catalogue: Turkish kids content.
“We have something very new: we have started to distribute kids content for the first time,” says Müge Akar, Head of Sales for Europa, Asia & Africa at ATV Distribution, during the current edition of Miptv 2023 at Cannes.
“Its content from our secondary channel, belonging to our media group, called Minika. We will be distributing their animation and kids content,” explained the executive.
Minika, like ATV, is part of the Turkuvaz Medya Group. The channel was launched in 2011 and became two different channels in 2012: Minika Çocuk, for 3 to 8 years old, and MinikaGo, for 7 to 14 years old.
Of course, ATV Distribution is still offering strong Turkish dramas, among them many local hits, like Street Birds, Little Sunshine, The Father and the new season of For My Family.
