The exclusive ViX+ Original series based on the acclaimed novel by Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa will premiere on ViX+ before the end of the year.
TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language content and media company, today released at MIPCOM the first look at Travesuras de la niña mala (Bad Girl), the exclusive ViX+ Original series based on the acclaimed novel by Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa, which will premiere on ViX+ before the end of the year.
ViX+ also announced that Fernando Soto (Money Heist), Fernando Cayo (Money Heist), Martijn Kuiper (Los Hombres de Paco), Rowi Prieto (Aj Zombies), Vanessa Saba (Ella y Él. Locos de Amor), Victor Civeira (La Bella y las Bestias) and Nestor Rodulfo (Che: Part One, Narcos Mexico) Steph Bumelcrownd (Lo Que la Gente Cuenta, Enamorándome de Ramon) and Javier Dulzaldes (Al Fondo hay Sitio) will join the cast that includes previously announced stars Macarena Achaga (The Wrath of God, Father of the Bride, Luis Miguel, The Series,) and Juan Pablo Di Pace (The Mattachine Family, Fuller House, A.D. The Bible Continues, Dallas, Mamma Mia). The series also features new and young talent including Jaime Maqueo, Paulina Gil, and Renata Chacón.
Pavel Vázquez (Los Ricos También Lloran, El Dragon, La Mujer del Diablo) have joined the acclaimed director Alejandro Bazzano (Money Heist, Inés del Alma Mía, No te Puedes Esconder) as a director on the highly anticipated romantic series, filmed in Paris, London and Mexico City, premiering exclusively on ViX+, the premium Spanish-language subscription streaming service. Seasoned scriptwriter María López Castaño (Valeria, Diablo Guardián, Gran Hotel, Los Hombres de Paco) wrote the series based on the acclaimed novel of the same name. David Azcano (Money Heist, Sky Rojo, Bose, Isabel) previously joined the production as the show’s cinematographer.
Premiering before the end of this year on ViX+, Travesuras de la niña mala tells the epic love story between a nonconformist and adventurous young woman and Ricardo, a man trapped in a predictable routine whom she calls a good boy. Thanks to the bad girl, he slowly learns to get out of his comfort zone. These two characters’ lives will intertwine over forty years through reunions across Lima, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, London, and more. The bad girl invites us to challenge our life on autopilot, transform ourselves, take more risks to feel alive and seek happiness through excitement. A premise that questions what life is without those exciting moments from the perspective of a character that lives life feeling immortal.
