Paramount+ announces the start of production in Mexico City for its new original movie for Latin America, Uno Para Morir, the first Spanish-language film starring, directed, and produced by Manolo Cardona.
The film is produced by VIS, Paramount’s international studio, in association with 11:11 Films & TV, Manolo Cardona’s production company, co-owned by his brother, Juancho.
Filming will take place in Mexico City and Veracruz, with a best-in-class cast that includes Maribel Verdú, Carla Adell, Juan Carlos Remolina, Adriana Paz, Dagoberto Gama, and Fernando Becerril.
Uno Para Morir is a suspense thriller written by Julieta Steinberg and Gavo Amiel that centers around seven people who wake up in a mansion after being kidnapped to take part in a deadly game. To survive, they must choose one person from the group to die, and the chosen one must agree with their fate.; if not, they will all be murdered. In 60 minutes, the most lurid secrets will surface, and they will discover that they are all linked by a dark past.
Who will be the one to lay down their life and save everyone else? Everyone will begin to justify how their life is more precious than the others, and we will enter a universe of intrigue and mistrust, meeting each of the characters in their most intimate and vulnerable moment.
