Brazilian group Globo’s OTT platform, Globoplay, is premiering a new season of Sessao de Terapia on August 30th, the adaptation of Israeli series In Treatment (BeTipul) by Dori Media.
Globoplay, the platform relaunched last year by Globo to compete against Netflix, announced the premiere of a fourth season of Sessao de Terapia for August 30, which will be an original production for the OTT.
The series is the Brazilian adaptation of In Treatment (BeTipul), the successful Israeli series distributed by Dori Media Group, which has been adapted in over 18 territories around the world, including the US, Argentina, Japan, Canada and numerous countries in Europe.
The first three seasons aired in Brazil between 2012 and 2014. And now Globo decided to bring back the series with a fourth season, which will be produced by GNT with Moonshot Pictures, and will air first on Globoplay and then on GNT in 2020.
In addition, the company confirmed the new season will feature Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin, who’s known for US series such as Homeland and Gotham, and the Deadpool films.
The series director, Selton Mello, will also star in the series, alongside Fabiula Nascimento, David Junior, Cecilia Homem de Mello and Livia Silva.
The new season will have a total of 35 episodes.
The format is distributed internationally by Dori Media.
