A few days before its long-awaited premiere, Disney+ unveiled the character posters for Siempre fui yo, the new Disney+ Original Productions series starring actress and singer Karol Sevilla (Soy Luna, Disney Channel), singer Pipe Bueno, and the renowned actor Christian Tappan that will arrive on the streaming service on June 15, exclusively to Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America and Spain.
With lots of music and elements of romance and mystery, the new story follows Lupe (Seville), a girl who travels from Mexico to the Colombian Caribbean to attend the funeral of her father, a Colombian music legend, and decides to stay there to investigate. the mysterious circumstances surrounding that sudden death.
The three new posters for Siempre fui yo presented today reveal a little more about the protagonists who are part of the intriguing story made in Colombia by The Mediapro Studio.
The new series, whose trailer can already be seen on the official Disney+ Latin America channel on YouTube, features original songs produced by renowned producers Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres.
Siempre fui yo follows the adventures of Lupe (Sevilla), a Mexican girl whose life takes an unexpected turn when she learns of the death of her father, El Faraón (Tappan) –Colombia’s biggest musical star– and decides to leave her native Mexico behind. to travel to Cartagena and attend the funeral. She quickly realizes that nothing is what it seems and she decides to enroll in a musical contest to be close to her father’s environment and investigate her suspicious death. Together with Noah (Bueno), a young former assistant to her father, Lupe embarks on a mission full of danger, romance and lots of music to solve this mystery in the heart of the Colombian Caribbean.
Completing the talented international cast are José Julián Gaviria (Felipe), Simón Savi (Charly), Antonio Sanint (Lucas Martin), Adriana Romero (Wendy), Juliana (Angie), Dubán Prado (Sammy), Alejandro Gutiérrez (Kevin), Katherine Escobar (Mercedes), Eliana Raventós (Lucía), Marisol Correa (Cecilia) and Felipe Botero (Ariel).
Siempre fui yo is made up of ten 40-minute episodes, and is directed by Felipe Cano (María Magdalena, El Comandante).
