The former Viacom exec will now lead the day to day operations of the Miami headquarters for The Kitchen, including project management, translation, production, audio, casting and The Hub.
Sergio Serrano has been named Vice President of Operations for The Kitchen HQ, in Miami.
“Sergio is a seasoned professional who spent most of his media career with Viacom International Media Networks,” explained Ken Lorber, President/CEO of the global language customization studios.
“Over the course of 23 years, Sergio worked his way up through the ranks at Viacom”, Lorber added, “ultimately attaining the position of Senior Director of Scheduling and Operations in the Miami operation”.
During his Viacom/Nickelodeon tenure, Sergio worked with most of the Latin American dubbing studios and is very familiar with what makes a studio reliable and acceptable to international clients.
“Sergio will be a great addition to our team,” Ken Lorber added, “He has vast experience in digital media, distribution operations, project management and many other aspects of our business. Among other things, Sergio was the last stop for much of Viacom localized content before being distributed to the various platforms and networks.”
“Ironically, he was very familiar with The Kitchen and was the recipient of many of our dubbed South Park episodes since we began our long and successful relationship with both South Park and Viacom”.
Prior to his Viacom years, Sergio was in program acquisitions, a perfect background for The Kitchen’s international work with networks, distributors and producers globally. “Having attended many MIP’s, LA Screenings and NAB shows, will undoubtedly work well with adding to our sales team’s worldwide approach to globalization of content.”
Sergio will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Miami headquarters, for The Kitchen, specifically: Project Management, Translation, Production, Audio, Casting and The Hub. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
“I’m a travel enthusiast, and look forward to visiting all our global studios, as soon as the pandemic is way behind us,” he concluded. “I’m excited about bringing my knowledge to The Kitchen and to working with this remarkably talented team”.
