Imagen Televisión in Mexico announced in the last hours the premiere on Sunday, May 9 at 9:00 p.m. of Súbete a mi moto, the story of Menudo, the group that revolutionized Latin pop music.
Produced by Somos Productions, Endemol Shine Boomdog and Piñolywood Studios, the series will air weekly, every Sunday at that time.
Imagen Televisión thus joins screens such as Amazon Prime Video, which broadcast it to Latin America and Spain; Wapa TV from Puerto Rico and Estrella TV from the US.
The series tells the story of Menudo, the Puerto Rican band international sensation from 1977 to the late 90s.
With 15 episodes of 60 minutes, the series was shot in Puerto Rico and Mexico with the participation of Yamil Ureña and Braulio Castillo as Edgardo Díaz, Sian Chiong as Joselo Vega, Marisol Calero as Doña Panchi, Josette Vidal as Julieta Torres, and Rocío Verdejo as Renata Torres.
Alongside the main cast, a talented group of young actors personify the group’s members including Felipe Albors and Ethan Schwartz (Ricky Martin), Marcelo Otaño and Eugenio Rivera (Ricky Meléndez), Samu Jove (Xavier Serbia), Gustavo Rosas (Sergio Blass), Alejandro Bermúdez (Rene Farrait), Leonel Otero (Johnny Lozada) and Mauro Hernández (Miguel Cancel), among others.
