WarnerMedia’s film label, launched during Natpe 2020, already has over a hundred films of its own.

Particular Crowd, WarnerMedia Latin America’s original film label, is celebrating one year since its official launch in Miami, during Natpe 2020.

And the celebration is taking place alongside another great milestone: reaching over 100 films.

Among the most relevant events of its first year, the success of Fuga de Pretoria also stands out, which for several consecutive weeks reached number one at the box office in Mexican cinemas; Possessor’s multiple awards, winner of the category for Best Film in Sitges, a film that, along with another Particular Crowd film, Hunter Hunter, appeared in the most important lists of the Top 10 best horror films of 2020. Finally It is worth noting its expansion towards the production of local content, specifically in the large markets of Mexico, Brazil and the Southern Cone.

During this time, Particular Crowd also participated in the organization of a talent outreach event at the Sundance Film Festival, aimed at creating relationships with the community of LatinX filmmakers, and in a presentation at the Festival de Cine de Guadalajara focused on reaching industry talents in Latin America, with a view to expanding local films.

Likewise, among the films released during its first year, the presence of talents such as Daniel Radcliffe, Billy Crystal, Patricia Clarkson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Marisa Tomei, Liev Schreiber, Madelaine Petsch and Peter Sarsgaard, among others, stood out.

Heading into 2021, Particular Crowd will release the acclaimed horror film Possessor in theaters in Mexico in February. In March, the film Twist, starring Michael Caine and Lena Headey, will be available in Latin American cinemas, which already had a preview at the Brazilian Comic Con (CCXP) and will be the first film on the HBO Latin America Movies label, which will broadcast original films that They will be available throughout Latin America through HBO and HBO GO, and finally, more local movies will be released on various WarnerMedia platforms.

Particular Crowd films are produced in English, Spanish or Portuguese, and span genres such as comedy, romantic comedy, horror, suspense, and movies for teens or for the whole family. It is an initiative that focuses on films with limited budgets that can be seen on a wide range of platforms, including television (TNT and SPACE), OTT, cinema and digital spaces.

Based in Los Angeles and Buenos Aires, Particular Crowd encompasses film development, production and co-financing, and has partnered with several leading production companies to generate content.
