The Turkish distributor closed the year with a total of 164 deals in 114 countries.
Turkish distributor Madd Entertainment announced that, despite the hardships experienced in 2020, the year led to a 120% increase in its results.
The company formed by Ay Yapim and Medyapim announced it ended 2020 with a total of 164 deals in 114 countries.
In addition, both producers were able to develop 350 hours of new content.
“Madd became the number one provider of new Turkish content during 2020 with sales to new screens such as HBO Max, Globoplay or Olympusat. We now hope that 2021 will be a great year again and we set ourselves the goal of doubling our business,” said Ateş Ince, Managing Director of Madd.
The good results are also joined by the company’s first co-production with Latin America: El Asesino del olvido, produced together with ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS).
Based on the Turkish series, Persona, the Mexican adaptation will be available during the first half of 2021.
