Only three Hispanic productions stand out among the most demanded ones in Uruguay, with two titles from Argentina and one from Spain making the cut in the latest Parrot Analytics rankings for the country.
Close in terms of geography and language, Argentine productions tend to reach Uruguay with ease, frequently conquering audiences in the neighboring country.
This trend is reflected in the most recent Parrot Analytics rankings of most demanded series in Uruguay for the week of September 14 to 20, where only three Hispanic series made the cut, two of them from Argentina.
On the one hand, musical teen series Go! Live your Way took over the seventh place among the Top 10 Most Demanded Digital Series in the country, registering 5.1 times more demand than the average series.
On the other hand, kid’s series El Payaso Plim Plim placed third in the general ranking of Top 10 Most Demanded Series, with 15.8 times more demand.
Netflix’s ever-popular Spanish series, Money Heist, completes the Hispanic mentions in the lists, ranking ninth in the digital ranking with 4.4 times more demand.
The digital ranking is led by the Netflix series Cobra Kai, with 13.2 times more demand than the average series. Typically dominated by Netflix, the podium is split this time across multiple platforms, with Amazon Prime’s The Boys in second place (10.8x) and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale in third (9.1x).
Stranger Things is in fourth place (8.8x), followed by The Umbrella Academy in fifth (8.7x) and Most Beautiful Thing in sixth (5.6x), all from Netflix.
The digital ranking is closed by DC Universe’s Titans (eighth place, 5.0x) and Anne With an E (tenth place, 3.8x).
Meanwhile, the general ranking of most demanded series in Uruguay is led by children’s productions, with PAW Patrol in first place (17.3 times more demand), Peppa Pig in second (16.6x) and Naruto in fourth (14, 6x), along with the aforementioned Plim Plim Clown.
For its part, Grey’s Anatomy ranks fifth with 13.4 times more demand, followed by Cobra Kai (13.2x).
Children’s content grab the number seven with SpongeBob (11.7x), Ben 10 in eighth (10.9x) and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir in tenth (10.3x). For their part, The Boys complete the list in ninth place.
