Spanish Netflix hits such as Money Heist, Elite and Vis a Vis found their place in Parrot Analytics’ Top 10 most demanded series in Venezuela; a list also dominated by kids’ content.

In times of confinement and social distancing due to the pandemic, there is a trend that is repeated in several Latin American countries with regard to television: the great demand for children’s content and Spanish series.

And Venezuela was no exception. On the one hand, series from the Iberian country occupied several positions in Parrot Analytics’ Top 10 most demanded series in Venezuela, both in the digital and general fields.

Thus, in the week of August 3 to 9, the always successful Netflix series, Money Heist, placed second in the digital ranking with 16.7 times more demand than the average series; a number that also earned it the seventh place in the general ranking.

Meanwhile, fellow Spanish series Elite ranked seventh in the digital ranking with 7.6 times more demand, while Vis a vis took sixth place in the general ranking with 16.9 times more demand.

The digital ranking is led by Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy with 29.9 times more demand, while Titans completes the podium in third place with 13.6 times more demand.

Dark (13x) follows in fourth place, followed by Stranger Things (10.8x) and Colombian Narcos in sixth place (9.8x).

The digital list is closed by Anne with an E in eighth place (7.3x), Disney+‘s The Mandalorian (5.9x) and She-Ra and the Princess of Power in tenth place (5.6x).

While The Umbrella Academy also leads the general ranking, this list is dominated by the other great trend in the region: children’s content.

Thus, PAW Patrol placed second with 22.7 times more demand than the average series, followed by SpongeBob with 19.3 times more demand.

The trend continues with Naruto in fourth place (19x), Peppa Pig (18.8x) and El payaso Plim Plim in eighth (15.2x).
