After a period of rehearsals via videoconference, the new telenovela began production on the Televisa San Ángel forums.
Televisa announced that La mexicana y El güero, a new production by Nicandro Díaz, began filming on forums 10 and 15 of Televisa San Ángel.
Before the start, the production held a ceremony in which Father Pedro Rocha blessed the work of this new project, which resumes in the midst of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
La mexicana y El güero, a drama with a touch of comedy, will premiere soon on Las Estrellas at 8:30 pm.
The fiction is based on the original work of Víctor Carrasco and Vicente Sabattini, whose free version is by Kary Fajer and the adaptation, by Gerardo Luna.
La Mexicana y El güero stars Itatí Cantoral, Juan Soler and Luis Roberto Guzmán.
It tells the story of Andrea Ibarrola (Cantoral), a professional swindler who learns that Tyler Somers (Soler), an American millionaire, suffers from the death of his adoptive mother, who on his deathbed asks him to look for his mother biological in Mexico.
The stage direction will be in charge of Víctor Rodríguez and Aurelio Ávila, and the camera direction will be Gabriel Vázquez Bulman and Alejandro Frutos.
