With a strategy aimed at audience retention and global reach, the company presents a catalog led by To Love is To Care, Globoplay Originals, and formats.

In a global scenario focused on audience attractiveness and retention, the ability to generate conversations and deep connections with the public has become a strategic vector for the audiovisual industry. It is with this vision that Globo participates in the 42nd edition of Mipcom Cannes, presenting an ecosystem of productions structured to meet different consumption profiles and platforms, from wide-reach telenovelas to targeted series and formats.

“A plot attracts the viewer, but it is the human journeys, contemporary conflicts, and real emotions that hold the audience’s attention. We want to show Globo’s power in transforming premium content into cultural phenomena capable of connecting with different audiences across multiple platforms and generating business opportunities for partners around the world, taking the expertise we developed in Brazil to drive engagement, relevance, and value in different markets,” comments Angela Colla, Head of International Business.

The Super Dramas combine the narrative tradition of telenovelas, production excellence, and the ability to generate high audience engagement. Among the main titles presented at Mipcom are To Love is To Care, currently airing during Brazilian prime time and which impacted more than 119 million people in its first 12 weeks of broadcast alone, and Three Graces, which reached 146 million Brazilians.

In the universe of Globoplay Original series, one of the highlights is The Playoffs, consolidated as the highest-reach original fiction series in the platform’s history in the first seven days following its premiere. The portfolio also features the acclaimed Emergency 53, winner of the Studio Babelsberg Production Excellence Award at the Berlinale, the fantasy production Blood Red – Under the Moonlight, and the dramatic comedy Single Together.

Additionally, Globo reinforces the strength of its Intellectual Properties by presenting acclaimed formats with a proven capacity for international adaptation. Bets include the launch of the original musical reality show The Star of the Show, the drama series The Others, which will soon receive an adapted version in Greece, and the telenovela Pages of Life, a format that has already demonstrated ratings success with its Portuguese adaptation broadcast by SIC.

“Our presence in Cannes reflects the strength and diversity of our ecosystem. We want to strengthen our telenovelas as premium content with global reach, drive the Globoplay Original series portfolio to multiple audiences, and consolidate our formats as proven successful IPs with high capacity for international adaptation,” adds Angela.
