The distributor has signed a deal with Red Head Global, which will take the dramas I Am Mother, Elif, Everywhere I Go, and Brave and Beautiful to South Africa and Namibia.
International distributor Eccho Rights has closed a new deal with Red Head Global, which has acquired the rights to a slate of acclaimed Turkish drama series for South Africa and Namibia.
The agreement covers four titles from Eccho Rights’ Turkish catalogue: I Am Mother (Sandık Kokusu), Elif, Everywhere I Go (Her Yerde Sen) and Brave and Beautiful (Cesur ve Güzel).
I Am Mother (produced by O3 Medya for Show TV), is a powerful exploration of motherhood, loss and resilience that has sold across Latin America, Europe and MENA. Elif (Yeşil Yapım for Kanal 7), is a sweeping daily family drama that became a breakthrough global hit following its international launch in 2015.
Everywhere I Go (Karga Seven Pictures for NOW), is a charming romantic comedy in which two strangers, forced to share the house they have each unknowingly bought, find rivalry giving way to undeniable chemistry. Brave and Beautiful (Ay Yapım for Star TV), is one of the biggest-selling Turkish dramas of all time, a passionate revenge-driven romance that has captivated audiences in markets around the world.
Berkin Nalbantli, Sales Executive for CEE and Africa at Eccho Rights, said: “Red Head Global has long been a champion of Turkish drama in South Africa and across the region, and we’re delighted to continue our partnership with this latest slate. They have the local expertise and reach to bring these titles to audiences in South Africa and Namibia, and this deal pairs proven daily favourites with internationally successful hits – exactly the kind of emotional storytelling that builds loyal audiences.”
