Scheduled to premiere in January 2027, Brazil Avenue 2 is an Estúdios Globo production, created and written by João Emanuel Carneiro.

A massive television phenomenon in Brazil that captivated millions of viewers before becoming a global export blockbuster sold to over 140 countries, Avenue Brazil is back.

Fourteen years after the events of the original hit drama, life seems to have finally found its course: Tufão (Murilo Benício) has become an even more successful businessman, the family remains united, and old wounds seem asleep. Carminha (Adriana Esteves), one of television’s most iconic villains, returns in the eyes of everyone as a transformed woman after serving time in prison, staying away from the mansion’s residents. But her comeback reignites a question capable of stirring up old scars: how far does the truth of this transformation go?

This is the starting point of Brazil Avenue 2, TV Globo’s upcoming primetime telenovela. “The plot revolves around Carminha, who reappears years later with a message of redemption, admired by all and treated as an example of overcoming hardship. The audience will be provoked to follow how this return will disrupt the lives of Tufão’s family and the other characters, especially Nina (Débora Falabella). This is also an opportunity to return to Divino, discover new faces, see beloved figures again, and find out what happened to each of them over time,” previews João Emanuel Carneiro.

The work marks the resumption of the partnership between the author and artistic director Ricardo Waddington after 14 years. “Brazil Avenue 2 is a continuation and maintains the trademark that always defined the work: fast-paced plot, events in every episode, a story that never stops moving forward. This is one of its greatest strengths, now at the service of new conflicts. Carminha and Nina, alongside Tufão’s family remain at the center, but in unprecedented dynamics sparked by the arrival of new characters in Divino,” highlights Ricardo Waddington.

In addition to Adriana Esteves, Murilo Benício, and Débora Falabella reprising their iconic roles as Carminha, Tufão, and Nina, the production brings back fan-favorite characters such as Jorginho (Cauã Reymond), Leleco (Marcos Caruso), and Muricy (Eliane Giardini). Joining this stellar team are Jéssica Ellen, Karine Teles, Thomás Aquino, Thalita Carauta and Ravel Andrade, among others.
