The Banijay Americas CEO will take on oversight of the combined group’s US operations, marking one of the first major organizational moves following the creation of the world’s largest independent content producer.

Ben Samek, CEO of Banijay Americas, is expanding his responsibilities to oversee the company’s US operations following the integration of Banijay Entertainment and All3Media, further strengthening his leadership position within the newly combined group.

The move is part of the organizational restructuring underway after the merger was completed in July, creating the world’s largest independent content producer. Under the new structure, Samek will oversee the activities of the production companies from both businesses in the United States, driving a unified strategy across one of the industry’s most important television markets.

Samek will continue to lead Banijay Americas, a position he has held since 2022. During his tenure, he has overseen the company’s expansion across the region, strengthening its portfolio of production labels while growing its presence in both scripted and unscripted programming.

In his expanded role, Samek will also oversee All3Media’s US operations, bringing together a broader portfolio of production companies specializing in scripted series, documentaries, entertainment, and formats. The move is designed to accelerate collaboration between the two organizations while creating new opportunities to develop and produce content for broadcasters, streaming platforms, and international partners.

The appointment represents one of the first significant executive changes since the completion of the Banijay Entertainment–All3Media merger, a transaction that brings together more than 170 production companies across 25 countries and establishes the combined business as the world’s largest independent content producer.

The merged company continues to be led by CEO Marco Bassetti, with Jeff Zucker serving as chairman and Jane Turton as deputy CEO, as it moves forward with the integration of its global operations and business structure.
