Anything Goes has expanded its footprint in Latin America with new premieres in Chile and Peru. The launch on Canal 13 also marks the return of Globo’s first-run Brazilian telenovelas to Chile. The remake will also debut in Peru on Panamericana TV.
Globo continues to broaden the international reach of Vale Tudo (Anything Goes) through new broadcast agreements across Latin America. The remake of one of Brazilian television’s greatest classics is already airing in Chile on Canal 13 and will premiere in Peru on August 3 on Panamericana TV.
The launch on Canal 13 also marks the return of Globo’s first-run Brazilian telenovelas to the programming lineup of one of Chile’s leading free-to-air broadcasters.
“We are very excited to partner with Globo to bring this major hit to Peruvian screens, reinforcing our commitment to offering high-quality stories to our audience,” said Leonardo Bigott, General Manager of Panamericana TV.
Pablo Morales, Director of Content and Programming at Canal 13, also highlighted Globo’s return to the Chilean broadcaster. “We are very happy and proud to once again include a Globo telenovela in our programming schedule, in this case the iconic Anything Goes. It represents the return of an important tradition of quality content to our afternoon slot, alongside a partner whose productions have historically been recognized for their excellence.”
Written by Manuela Dias and under the artistic direction of Paulo Silvestrini, Anything Goes reimagines the acclaimed 1980s original with a contemporary narrative centered on ethics, honesty and the price of success. The story follows the turbulent relationship between Raquel (Taís Araújo) and her daughter Maria de Fátima (Bella Campos), who embody opposing views on what it means to succeed in life.
The remake also revives one of the biggest mysteries in Brazilian television history: the murder of the iconic villain Odete Roitman, portrayed in this new version by Debora Bloch.
In Brazil, the production reached more than 150 million viewers during its primetime run, became the most-watched telenovela in the history of Globoplay, and the highest-grossing primetime drama ever for Globo.
With its premieres in Chile and Peru, Anything Goes continues to expand its international distribution after previously launching in Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
“We are very pleased to expand the presence of Anything Goes across the region and strengthen our partnership with Panamericana in Peru, while also celebrating the return of our first-run telenovelas to Canal 13 in Chile. Anything Goescombines universal themes, memorable characters, romance and ethical dilemmas that resonate strongly with audiences. We are confident it will captivate viewers in Chile and Peru just as it did in Brazil,” said Pablo Ghiglione, Head of Sales for the Americas, APAC and International Co-productions at Globo.
