The French version is the latest addition to the growing international expansion of the format, which originated in South Korea. The production is handled by Adventure Line Productions, a division of Banijay France.

Netflix France has commissioned 100% Physique, the French adaptation of the hit physical competition format Physical 100, to be produced by ALP (Adventure Line Productions), a Banijay France label.

The series will bring together 100 athletes of all ages and sporting backgrounds—including martial arts, bodybuilding, CrossFit, rugby, athletics and more—to compete in a quest to determine who has the best overall physical condition.

Throughout the competition, contestants will face a series of large-scale “XXL Quests,” competing both individually and in teams. The challenges are designed to test endurance, stamina, strength and agility, with the overall winner taking home a €200,000 cash prize.

The French edition further expands the global Physical 100 franchise, originally created in South Korea. Within Banijay Entertainment, it marks the fourth local adaptation produced by the group’s labels, following Physical 100: Sweden, Physical 100: Italy and Physical 100: Mexico. The franchise has also recently expanded with announced versions for Asia and the United States.

Netflix France has also opened casting for athletes interested in competing in the new series.

ALP (Adventure Line Productions), which is producing the adaptation, is part of Banijay France, led by CEO Alexia Laroche-Joubert. The production group comprises 17 labels and boasts a catalogue of more than 2,500 hours of non-scripted programming and nearly 50 hours of scripted content across multiple broadcasters and platforms.
