Sphere Media has appointed Kelly Jenkins as Senior Vice President, Business Affairs, English Scripted, a role he will assume from the company’s Toronto studio.

With extensive experience in business affairs, production, financing and rights management across the television industry, Jenkins brings both strategic and operational expertise to support the continued growth of the company’s English Scripted division.
In his new role, he will oversee business affairs for the division and work closely with the creative, production and corporate teams to drive the development and execution of premium scripted projects.

The company has also recently announced two new CBC commissions: Blessed Sacrament, created by Kathleen Robertson and produced with Debut Content, and a half-hour espionage comedy from creator Aubrey Nealon.
Sphere Media’s recent scripted credits include the thriller Wayward (Netflix), the comedy Small Achievable Goals (CBC Gem), the Peabody Award-winning dramedy Sort Of (CBC/HBO Max), medical drama Transplant (Bell/NBCUniversal), and period drama The Porter (CBC/BET+), which earned Primetime Emmy and Independent Spirit Award nominations.
