The agreement will bring a slate of Korean dramas, documentaries and BTS content to RTBF’s streaming platform Auvio, marking the first launch of Korean series in French-speaking Belgium.
Canal+ Distribution continues to strengthen its strategy to expand Korean content across Europe, announcing a new agreement with Belgian public broadcaster RTBF to bring a curated selection of K-dramas, documentaries and music programming to its streaming platform Auvio.
The deal marks the first launch of Korean drama series on Auvio and represents another step in Canal+ Distribution’s efforts to broaden the reach of K-content across European markets, following recent launches in Poland and the Balkans.
The agreement also reflects a broader shift in the European content landscape. While the international rise of Korean programming has largely been driven by global streaming platforms—Netflix recently reported that Korean content was its most-watched non-US programming between April 2025 and March 2026—local broadcasters and streaming services are increasingly investing directly in K-content to attract their own audiences.
Under the deal, Auvio will add several high-profile Korean series to its catalog, including The Penthouse (SBS), Doctor John (SBS), Mistress (CJ ENM), Way Back Love (CJ ENM), Lovely Runner (CJ ENM) and True Beauty (CJ ENM).
The package also includes two BTS titles supplied by HYBE. The documentary Bring the Soul, which offers behind-the-scenes access to the group’s world tour, will soon debut on Auvio, while the concert film BTS: Speak Yourself the Final will air on July 2 on Tipik, RTBF’s television channel aimed at young adults.
With the agreement, Canal+ Distribution continues to position itself as a key distributor of Korean content in Europe, responding to growing demand from regional broadcasters and streaming platforms seeking to diversify their premium scripted offerings with internationally successful Asian productions.
