The children’s series, in its neutral Spanish version, has made its debut in Latin America as part of the programming lineup of Televisión Nacional de Chile’s cultural and children’s channel

The children’s series Mithy the Explorer, distributed by Gookapi, has arrived in Chile, where it airs on NTV, the children’s and cultural channel of Televisión Nacional de Chile. The premiere, which took place in April 2026, also marked the series’ debut in Latin America in a neutral Spanish version.

Starring a cheerful little explorer elf, this interactive and linear series invites children to discover nature, ecosystems, different professions, and the importance of caring for the planet. Through his adventures, Mithy fosters curiosity, learning, and respect for the environment from an early age.

“We are very happy to premiere Mithy the Explorer on NTV,” said Marianella Gomis, Head of Sales & Acquisitions, Project Development. “It’s fantastic that Mithy has the opportunity to inspire Chilean children to discover the world, develop their imagination, and learn in an entertaining way through a Latin American public broadcaster so committed to children and families.”

“At NTV, we encourage children to explore and discover the world, but we are aware that for many, this is difficult to achieve,” said Mariana Hidalgo Lorca, NTV’s Director of Programming. “Content like Mithy—produced in other parts of the world but featuring very universal themes—opens a window to knowledge in a very relatable and enjoyable way, bringing adventure and exploration right to our screens.”

This production, aimed at children ages 4 to 9, consists of 30 four-minute episodes and 8 seven-minute linear episodes. In these episodes, Mithy discovers interesting facts about animals, trains, firefighters, and music, and explores natural environments such as beech forests, heathlands, flysch formations, caves, volcanoes, and lakes, embarking on numerous adventures. In its most recent season, co-produced with Guatemala TV, the young explorer also discovers places, customs, and cultural traditions, adding new experiences to his travels and adventures.

According to Gookapi, the series promotes “co-viewing, discovery, and entertainment in a playful way, aiming to make every child feel part of the story through observation, experimentation, discovery, and reflection. Mithy is not just a character, but an adventure companion who teaches children to view the world with wonder, affection, and responsibility.”

Mithy the Explorer is also available for international sales in English and in an interactive version that allows the audience to choose their own adventure. Its international distribution is handled by Gookapi, which is also responsible for marketing the Duendes universe, comprising five other series: Liz’s Creative Workshop, Pintxo Against Climate Change, Secret Songs of the Duendes, Hur Learns, and Ezki the Storyteller. In addition, Gookapi’s official YouTube channel, “Duendes—The Magic Forest,” has recently launched.
