The organization will have its own dedicated space in the Business Hall, where it will host a brunch to announce an alliance with REFIC-BR.
IBEROFIC will participate in a new edition of Rio2C, one of the most relevant gatherings for the creative industries in Latin America, with an agenda focused on networking, building strategic alliances, and generating business opportunities.
Within the framework of the event—which will take place from May 26 to 31 at Cidade das Artes—IBEROFIC will have its own dedicated space in the Business Hall (Room 9). This room is designed as a meeting point for the network’s film commissions to connect with producers, platforms, distributors, executives, and content creators interested in strengthening ties with Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.
In this space, on May 29 at 12:30 PM, an exclusive industry brunch will be held alongside the Spain Film Commission and the production company PAN, both members of the network’s Board of Advisors. The brunch will serve as the setting to sign an alliance with REFIC-BR (Rede Film Commissions do Brasil), aiming to jointly boost co-productions throughout the territory.
IBEROFIC’s presence at Rio2C comes amid Brazil’s growing international prominence as one of the most dynamic and relevant audiovisual markets in the world, driven by both its volume of production and the expansion of its platforms, talent, and content into global markets.
“Today, Brazil occupies a central place in the international audiovisual conversation. It is a market with enormous creative capacity, an expanding industry, and a growing influence on global production and content distribution flows,” noted Carolina Cordero, founder and member of the Board of Directors of IBEROFIC.
“For IBEROFIC, being present at Rio2C means actively participating in that ecosystem, generating strategic connections, and supporting the growth of an industry that is having an increasingly greater impact outside the region. Our booth and the brunch aim precisely to create a gathering space for companies, creators, and executives who are driving the future of Ibero-American audiovisuals,” she added.
Over several days, Rio2C will be the stage for important meetings and negotiations among leading companies, studios, production houses, and platforms in the sector, consolidating itself as one of the main creative hubs in the region. With this participation, IBEROFIC reaffirms its commitment to the development of the regional audiovisual market and the promotion of spaces that drive co-production, the international circulation of content, and the strengthening of the Ibero-American industry.
