The audiovisual event is bringing together this week in Mallorca executives from companies including HBO Max, Prime Video, SkyShowtime, RTVE, and Atresmedia.
Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca officially kicked off its 10th edition, gathering 150 representatives from the international audiovisual industry, institutional authorities, and executives from European and Ibero-American companies. During the opening ceremony, authorities highlighted the economic, cultural, and tourism impact of the audiovisual sector for the region, as well as the international positioning achieved by the event over its ten-year trajectory.
Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca is taking place from May 25 to 28 in Mallorca and is part of the international Event Conecta platform, created by Inside Content.
The opening ceremony was attended by Juan Antonio Amengual, mayor of Calvià; Guillem Ginard, Tourism Councilor of the Consell de Mallorca; and Jaume Bauzá, Councilor of Tourism, Culture, and Sports of the Govern de les Illes Balears.
“We were born with the vocation of being a space where the industry looks at itself, debates its future, and generates the projects that will shape the next decade,” said Géraldine Gonard, director of Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca.

The 2026 edition also launched with Conecta Creative Lab, an ideas laboratory that brought together representatives from companies such as Parrot Analytics, Omdia, Glance, the European Audiovisual Observatory, and GECA to discuss digital-first content, vertical microdramas, branded entertainment, artificial intelligence, sports, and audiovisual regulation.
Among the new additions to the program, the event announced the creation of the RTVE Play Award, endowed with €5,000 for the development of the best Pitch Vertical Series project, reinforcing the public platform’s commitment to native digital formats and emerging talent.
In addition, the Focus on Commissioners sessions added executives such as Mar Díaz (RTVE), Margarida Pereira (TVI), Diego del Pozo (Atresmedia), and Conxa Orea (3Cat).
Another highlight of the program will be the keynote by Bibiana González, director of Content Networks & Streaming Non-Scripted Original Production at HBO Max Spain, who will analyze the platform’s non-fiction strategy and the opportunities for producers in the current audiovisual landscape.
Additionally, Conecta Summit will bring together executives from companies such as SkyShowtime, Prime Video, HBO Max, TVI and atresplayer to discuss intellectual property monetization, artificial intelligence, and vertical formats.
The program also includes new panels on the digital ecosystem and format trends, as well as public activities under the Conecta Fiction Fest banner, featuring special screenings of Mallorca Confidencial and the Movistar Plus+ original series Se tiene que morir mucha gente.
