The next edition of the event will take place between Sunday April 18 and Tuesday April 20, 2027.
Following a successful launch last week, Content Europe has announced it will return to Lisbon between Sunday April 18 and Tuesday April 20 in 2027.
According to the organization, feedback from the inaugural event was extremely positive, with 873 delegates and 547 companies participating in the three-day market and conference.
The focus on formats will remain for 2027 but there will be a significant boost to the documentary, factual and drama genres across the event, along with kids.
In a move that will see some of the most creative producers and distributors celebrated at Content Europe, The International Format Awards Gala Final will move to the event, surrounded by a raft of sessions taking a deeper dive into how to create a global hit show.
A four-track conference programme will include The Formats Futures Forum, The Documentary Summit, The Commissioning & Acquisitions Summit and The Kids Content Summit. Each of these tracks will be focused on uncovering content trends, buyer priorities and sales and coproduction opportunities across channels and platforms worldwide.
The culmination of the year-long C21Formats100 initiative will also conclude at the event with the publication of an almanac and cocktail party to celebrate the executives within the strand.
The scheduling of the event has been moved to dovetail with StreamTV Europe, allowing delegates to attend both events during one creative week in Lisbon.
