The partnership advances the global rollout of the K-pop-inspired brand, with a focus on consumer products and local partnerships in the Turkish market.
KPop Idol, one of IMC Toys’ fastest-growing global brands, is continuing its international expansion with its entry into Türkiye, through a partnership with Fauna Entertainment, which has been appointed as the brand’s licensing agent in the territory.
The deal marks a key step in the property’s global rollout strategy. Inspired by the worldwide K-pop phenomenon, KPop Idol blends music, fashion and self-expression, targeting kids and pre-teens who are deeply engaged with pop culture and digital ecosystems.
Under the agreement, Fauna will lead the licensing strategy and brand development for KPop Idol in Türkiye, with a focus on building a comprehensive consumer products program and establishing strong local partnerships to drive market presence.
“Bringing KPop Idol to Türkiye is an exciting opportunity, especially given the growing influence of K-pop culture among younger audiences,” said Emre Aksoy, CBO of Fauna Entertainment. “We see strong potential to develop a robust licensing program that connects with fans through fashion, music and lifestyle products.”
Positioned as a dynamic, trend-driven brand, KPop Idol offers expansion potential across multiple categories including toys, apparel, accessories, publishing and digital experiences, supported by a vibrant aesthetic and aspirational values.
With this addition, Fauna further strengthens its portfolio of international properties and reinforces its role as a key partner in bringing global brands to the Turkish market, where it already holds a solid presence in the kids’ entertainment segment.
For its part, IMC Toys continues to consolidate its international footprint. Headquartered in Terrassa, Barcelona, the company has more than 40 years of experience in the toy industry, operates in over 50 countries, and boasts a portfolio that combines proprietary brands such as Cry Babies, Bloopies and Baby Paws, alongside major licensed properties including Disney, Marvel, Hello Kitty and Netflix.
