The 10th anniversary edition to be unveiled at EFM Berlin as professional accreditations also open.

Conecta Magaluf–Mallorca has opened its international fiction project calls for its 2026 edition, scheduled to take place from May 25 to 28 on the beach of Magaluf, in Calvià (Mallorca).

As it marks its 10th anniversary, Conecta will unveil the first details of its upcoming edition at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin, where it will host an exclusive presentation and networking event on February 13.

Over the past decade, Conecta has established itself as a key international co-production market for serialized fiction and feature-length projects aimed at the television and digital space. The event brings together producers, broadcasters, streaming platforms, sales agents and international investors, with a strong focus on developing content with clear international potential.

As part of its EFM presence, Conecta will host an industry gathering to present Conecta Magaluf–Mallorca 2026. The event will feature speakers including Pedro Vidal Montserrat, Secretary of Culture and Sports of the Govern de les Illes Balears; Juan Antonio Amengual, Mayor of Calvià; and Géraldine Gonard, Director of Conecta.

International project calls for the 2026 pitching sessions

For its 2026 edition, Conecta has opened four international calls, all aimed at fiction projects in development:

Pitch Drama Series – Drama series and miniseries for television, across all subgenres, with between 4 and 13 episodes per season. Deadline: March 5, 2026.

Pitch Comedy Series – Comedy series and miniseries for television in development, with comedy at the core of the narrative. Deadline: March 4, 2026.

Pitch Vertical Series – Vertical fiction series or micro-dramas designed for mobile-first consumption in a 9:16 format. Deadline: March 3, 2026.

Pitch Direct To Streaming Movies – Fiction feature films in development conceived for direct release on streaming platforms. Deadline: March 6, 2026.

Finalist projects will be selected by international editorial committees and announced in April 2026. Evaluation criteria include artistic quality and originality, level of development, international reach, confirmed financing and audience potential. Projects with a direct link to the Balearic Islands will receive additional consideration.

Selected teams must attend Conecta Magaluf–Mallorca in person, where they will take part in pitch preparation sessions, official pitching events, one-to-one meetings and professional networking activities. The organization will cover accreditation fees and three nights of accommodation for one representative per finalist project.
