2025 was definitely the year TV went vertical, a trend that swept across platforms worldwide, with content designed for the new mobile-first generations.
And within that vast universe, Latin Media specializes in Asian vertical content, a region that increasingly shares common ground with Latin America in terms of television tastes and preferences.
Present at Content Americas in Miami, the group seeks to forge new alliances for its diverse catalog with players across the market.
“In this market, we are bringing Asian verticals,” Carlos Documet, VP of Sales and Acquisitions at Latin Media, explained to ttvnews. “We are very well known for Asian content: Thai, Korean, Filipino, and Indian.”
“We are bringing 35 vertical dramas, in addition to our lineup of long-running dramas, which continue to be our renowned Korean, Thai, and Filipino collections,” he added.
Thus, at Content Americas, the group is looking to connect with its clients and also present its new FAST Channel, TV Amor, “where we have a large portion of these Asian series.”
“We hope they continue to receive this great support from programmers. Last year was a good year for these series. We have Filipino content in the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, and Peru. Thai content in Venezuela, Paraguay, and Ecuador. We are happy and looking forward to new vertical content lines,” he concluded.
