Ahogada will be presented at the event with the aim of securing co-production partners.
Hidden Stories is an audiovisual production company based in Madrid, Spain, whose developments and productions focus on content that resonates in the public sphere and promotes human rights and a gender perspective.
Ahogada will be presented at Content Americas 2026 with the aim of securing co-production partners. This debut feature by Macarena Mochón seeks strategic allies who value both the feature film proposal and its awareness-driven subject matter.
Developed in feature-length format, Ahogada focuses on stealthing, a term that describes the act of removing a condom without the other person’s consent. Two out of every three women worldwide have experienced it. This act, often overlooked in conversations about consent, is explored in depth in Ahogada, with the goal of raising awareness and opening dialogue about the importance of consent in relationships. On May 30, 2024, Spain’s Supreme Court declared stealthing a criminal offense.
Prior to the feature film development, Ahogada was preceded by an audiovisual short film that was presented at the Short Film Corner of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The short starred Candela Saitta (Máxima, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon) and Lucas Velasco (El Internado, UPA).
Ahogada was born from a conversation between Hidden Stories’ founding partners, Ashley Mochón and Macarena Mochón, about this little-known term. A rigorous investigation on the subject was carried out, followed by the creation of workshops and training sessions for the entire technical and creative team. The goal was not only to raise awareness, but also to ensure that everyone involved was aligned in telling this story with respect and empathy. Hidden Stories also develops workshops for technical crews and actors from other production companies as part of the services it provides.
Ahogada is an adult coming-of-age story that follows Clara, a young lawyer who, after the public accusation of sexual abuse against a well-known actress, is forced to confront her own past. Through home videos from her adolescence, Clara reconnects with a past she tried to forget.
Three new projects by the production company will be presented at the market, including the development of Ahogada, the feature film, also starring Candela Saitta and Lucas Velasco—two rising Argentine actors with strong careers.
