Hermanas, un amor compartido tells the story of two sisters whose lives are shaped by adversity, secrets, and a shared motherhood that both unites and challenges them. From a young age, Rebeca (Danna García) and Mónica (Adriana Louvier) develop a deep bond rooted in unconditional support, despite their opposing personalities. Raised in a family shaped by guilt, loss, and sacrifice, both sisters are forced to mature early and build extraordinary resilience. Encouraged by their mother, they pursue professional careers and strive to create a future different from the one life seemed to have predetermined.
Their fragile balance is shattered when their love for Aura places them on an irreversible collision course. Aura is Rebeca’s biological daughter. Years earlier, to protect her from her paternal grandfather Silverio (Guillermo García Cantú), save her life, and spare her a childhood of hardship alongside a convicted mother, Rebeca makes the most painful decision of her life: to relinquish her motherhood. She enters an irrevocable pact with Mónica to never reveal Aura’s true origins. Mónica, in turn, sacrifices her youth and marriage to raise Aura as her own, concealing the truth of her birth.
What begins as an act of love and protection evolves into a deeply emotional struggle in which every decision carries lasting consequences.
Hermanas, un amor compartido is produced by Silvia Cano and directed by Silvia Tort and Rodrigo Cachero.
