Produced by Telemundo Studios, the series is written by Indira Páez and will feature a prominent cast, with filming in Mexico.

Telemundo revealed the star-studded cast for its new thriller drama, Lobo, Morir Matando, which began production this week in Mexico.

Based on the book Morir Matando by F.G. Haghenbeck, the series follows Lobo Rosales, a former detective marked by his past, whose life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes the protector of Renata, the daughter of the woman he once loved.  After an attack leaves her orphaned, Lobo is forced to flee to the border to keep Renata safe and reunite her with her only living relative, only to discover that the girl holds the key to a hidden fortune many are willing to kill for.

On their trail is Cruz (Alejandro De La Madrid), a ruthless and corrupt politician who sends in his best weapon: Antonia Lazo (Fátima Molina), a relentless hunter with a past intimately linked to Lobo. Amid the chase, buried feelings between Lobo and Antonia resurface, forcing them to decide whether to betray each other or save the only pure thing they have left: Renata.

“With Lobo, Morir Matando, we’re bringing together some of the most recognized names in Spanish-language television to deliver a bold, emotionally charged story that stands as one of Telemundo’s most anticipated productions of the year,” said Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer & Head of Telemundo Studios. “It’s a thrilling, gripping drama with unforgettable performances that will keep audiences at the edge of their seats every night.”

Acclaimed actor Arap Bethke headlines the series as Lobo, joined by an ensemble of stars including Fátima Molina, Angélica Celaya, Alejandro de la Madrid, and Roberto Romano. The series also introduces rising talent Camille Mina in the breakout role of Renata, the innocent young girl at the center of this gripping story of redemption, betrayal, and survival.

The stellar ensemble also features Marjorie de Sousa, Eduardo Yañez, Gabriel Porras, Ofelia Medina, and Dominika Paleta.

Completing the cast are Christian Ramos, Gabriela Roel, Gina Moret, Jorge A. Jimenez, Majo Perez, Mariano Palacios, Rafael Novoa, and Tizoc Arroyo, among others.

A Telemundo Studios production, the series was written by Indira Páez and is directed by Enrique Begné, Carlos Carrera, Rolando Ocampo, and Julia Rivero, with Gabriela Valentán as executive producer and Cynthia Martínez as general producer.
