Through this partnership, GoQuest Media secures exclusive rights to Jiostar’s linear programming portfolio, reinforcing its position as a leading player in international content distribution. The company had already set a precedent in Africa by exclusively handling Disney Star’s distribution, bringing Indian entertainment to new audiences.
“Africa has long been a key market for us. Jiostar’s decision to partner with GoQuest highlights the strength of our experience and relationships in the region. The fact that major global players prefer to trust us instead of building internal sales teams is the ultimate recognition of our capabilities. We are excited to expand Jiostar’s presence in Africa and to continue bridging world-class content with audiences that deeply connect with it,” said Vivek Lath, Managing Director of GoQuest Media.
A Jiostar spokesperson added: “Africa is a priority market in our global growth strategy. With a first-class library and a consumer-centric approach, our brands, shows, and characters have consistently grown stronger in the region, becoming household names that resonate with audiences. We have launched two tailored channels, one in English and one in isiZulu, driven by our belief in storytelling’s power to unite cultures and languages. By appointing GoQuest Media as our exclusive distributor, we ensure that our portfolio grows with precision and market expertise. Their proven track record gives us full confidence to strengthen our presence and unlock new opportunities in the region.”
