Within just three days of its debut, Dinero, Armas y Feliz Navidad surpassed 20 million views.

ReelShort, the world’s most downloaded micro-drama app, has officially expanded into Argentina with the launch of its first locally produced fiction, Dinero, Armas y Feliz Navidad.

The series was produced by Río Ancho, a new production company formed through the alliance between Amada Contents and Twins Latin Films, led by Marcela Ávalos and Lorena Quevedo.

Latin America has quickly become one of ReelShort’s fastest-growing markets, now representing a significant share of the platform’s global audience. Within just three days of its debut, Dinero, Armas y Feliz Navidad surpassed 20 million views — a milestone that highlights both ReelShort’s global reach and the appetite for locally produced stories.

“Supporting ReelShort’s launch in Argentina is a major milestone for our industry and also the best way to showcase Río Ancho’s capabilities. We are very proud of the process, the outcome, and the impact of the content produced in Argentina for the platform,” says Marcela Ávalos.

“Bringing ReelShort to Argentina has been a great achievement. The talent of the actors and the quality of the crew exceeded our expectations. The creative energy we found here inspires us to continue investing in stories that connect with audiences across Latin America. Without a doubt, we will return to produce more series in this country that overflows with passion and art,” said Zosia Garcia, Executive Producer of ReelShort LATAM.

“At Río Ancho, we build on the experience of over 30 feature films produced by Amada and Twins Latin Films across different production models and contexts — a foundation that now allows us to adapt with confidence to new paradigms where speed, flexibility, and efficiency are key, but talent always remains at the center,” adds Lorena Quevedo.

Río Ancho positions itself as a production platform ready to embrace new global formats, bringing its expertise and vision to the continued growth of the audiovisual ecosystem in Latin America.
