Produced by Satisfaction Iberia, this family quiz show features a spectacular set inspired by the game board.

RTVE is bringing one of the most popular board games in history to television: Trivial Pursuit. The show is designed to bring different generations together in front of the TV and offer RTVE audiences a major cultural and family quiz show.

The quiz show, produced by Satisfaction Iberia, brings back to public television a format we have all played at home, now transformed into a spectacle of knowledge, excitement and strategy.

With a spectacular set design, dynamic pace, and family-friendly approach, Trivial Pursuit strengthens RTVE’s line-up of cultural game shows and becomes the ultimate knowledge competition.

This intergenerational format brings parents, children, and grandparents together in front of the TV, competing to see who knows the most.

Trivial Pursuit is an original format from Talpa Studios and Hasbro Entertainment, recently broadcast on the U.S. network The CW, where it achieved strong ratings and where a second season has been announced.

The classic game, now on television

Trivial Pursuit maintains the essence of the classic board game: six categories of questions, wedges to be won, and the challenge of reaching the center of the board.

The big innovation is that the legendary board comes to life on stage, becoming the central setting of the competition.

Viewers will also be able to play along from home, testing themselves with each question and sharing the experience with their families.

Egoitz Txurruka at the helm

The quiz show will be hosted by Egoitz Txurruka, known as “Txurru,” a Basque presenter with a long career at ETB —the Basque public channel—, where he has fronted entertainment programs such as Esto no es normal.

Txurruka has also hosted the channel’s New Year’s Eve chimes on several occasions, establishing himself as a warm, versatile personality with a strong connection to the audience.
