The original Movistar+ productions will have their own World Premiere Screening on Monday, March 30 in Cannes.
Two Spanish series will have their World Premiere Screening at the next Miptv, which will take place from March 30 to April 2 in Cannes, France.
The original Movistar+ series, La línea invisible and La unidad, will premiere at the Palais des Festivals on Monday, March 30.
With a premiere scheduled for April 17, La linea invisible focuses on the origin of the ETA and the organization’s first murder: member of the civil guard, José Antonio Pardines.
It is produced by Sentido Films in collaboration with Corte y Confección de Películas, and written by Michel Gaztambide and Alejandro Hernández.
It has an extensive cast headed by Àlex Monner, Antonio de la Torre, Anna Castillo, Asier Etxeandia, Patrick Criado, Patricia López Arnáiz, Enric Auquer, Amaia Sagasti, Pablo Derqui and Ramón Barea, along with Emilio Palacios, Joan Amargós, Aia Kruse , Xoan Forneas, María Morales, Alba Loureiro, Amaia Lizarralde and Josean Begoetxea, among many others.
Inspired by an original idea by Abel García Roure, the series will have six episodes of 45 minutes. Filming was done entirely in different locations in Euskadi.
In addition, La Unidad is an ambitious fiction produced by Movistar+ in collaboration with Vaca Films, directed by Dani de la Torre, and written by Alberto Marini and Amelia Mora.
It’s a police thriller based on the unpublished testimonies of senior professionals fighting terrorism.
Goya winners Nathalie Poza and Marian Álvarez, Goya winner Luis Zahera and Argentine actor Michel Noher lead the cast, along with Raúl Fernández de Pablo, Carlos Blanco, Fele Martínez, Francesc Orella, Pepo Oliva and Alba Bersabé, together with a diverse international casting: Fariba Sheikhan, Amina Leony, Hamid Krim, Mourad Ouani, Mekki Kadiri, Moussa Echarif, Omar Bentaleb, Bouzan Hadawi, Said El Mouden and Tarik Rmili.
The series will have six episodes of 50 minutes, and premiere in May.
