The executive producer spoke with ttvnews at Content Americas about growth in 2024 and the production projects they already have in the pipeline for this year.

One of the most recognized production companies in the Spanish market, Grupo Izen was present at Content Americas after a year of many projects in terms of original production.
“2024 was a great year for Grupo Izen, we were very active,” Juliana Barrera, Executive Producer of Grupo Izen, began in a conversation with ttvnews. “The group has several production companies depending on the genre and the truth is that we were at full capacity.”
On the fiction side, from Zebra Producciones, “we have a thriller called Desaparecido, in the Basque Country. It is a series of eight 45-minute episodes. A wonderful story that will premiere on Netflix Spain and on the Basque public channel. We have the rights for the rest of the world and several episodes already to show,” said the executive.
“My colleagues in the same fiction team made two seasons of Memento Mori for Amazon. And we have two developments underway, an original that we have not yet announced from a great IP that we bought last year; and we have another development that is a series, a very nice project that will be shot in Catalonia,” she said.
In terms of entertainment, 2024 marked the return of El Gran Prix, produced by Europroducciones, Izen’s unscripted production company. “Also specials and docuseries,” added the executive. “In 2025, in those areas, there is also a lot of promise. I am very proud to belong to such an active group,” she concluded.
