Calinos Entertainment presented during Mipcom Cannes the Turkish series Hidden Garden, the hit drama produced by TMC and starring Murat Yildirim and Ebru Sahin. During the meeting, Firat Gulgen, founder and CEO of Calinos Entertainment, told ttvnews that they expect to reach more than 100 territories with this title.

According to Gulgen, they acquired this story because they loved the script, which has a very international theme that can be liked in many territories worldwide. “We are already thinking a lot about formats and local adaptations. Israel and Russia have already acquired the series. Israel bought the series with just the first trailer,” he said.

While at Mipcom, Hidden Garden star Murat Yildirim talked about his character, Demir. This successful architect belongs to a cultured and wealthy family known for his booming, award-winning projects. Scarred by a traumatic relationship from the past, he avoids women and has lost hope of starting a family until he learns about his late brother Ates’ son. When he tries to meet his nephew, he is confronted with a shocking revelation: the boy’s mother works as an escort.

Demir is determined to get his brother’s son back. Nazlı, the woman Demir belittles, is a college dropout struggling to make ends meet, juggling jobs ranging from waitressing to English translator, thesis writer, and concession stand manager. Her only companion is her son Memo, but she hides an even bigger secret: Nazlı does not work as a typical escort and is not Memo’s real mother.

While Nazlı and Memo live modestly but happily, Demir helps them and claims Memo’s rights. The fierce conflict between Nazlı and Demir gradually transforms into a love shrouded in secrets.
