The local adaptation of the Keshet International format will premiere on Cuatro on September 9.

Mediaset España announced the premiere date of ¡Boom!, its new entertainment format.

One of the most emblematic and successful contests on television, the format will premiere on Cuatro next Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m., with Christian Gálvez as host.

“It is a luxury to host this show, a TV classic that has everything I like most about contests: fun, tension, excitement, challenges, illusions, teamwork… It is the complete package. Shootings have been an intense, exciting and very fun experience. Although I have to be very focused on its development, with the contestants we are having you have a good time no matter what. I am also surrounded by a wonderful team of professionals, people who enjoy doing television 100%,” says the host.

In its premiere, Boom! will feature two teams of contestants well known to viewers for their respective historic achievements in the previous stage: The Rock Campers, who after participating in 67 episodes achieved a record by winning the jackpot and taking home a total of more than 2.3 million euros; and the Extremis, who in 116 programs won a prize of 631,500 euros. After facing each other in the first program, one of the two will continue their journey in the following editions to try to win the jackpot.

Produced in collaboration with Mediacrest, ¡Boom! is based on an original format distributed by Keshet International and created by Ido Rosenblum.

The format was previously broadcast on Antena 3, hosted by Juanra Bonet and produced by Gestmusic, part of Banijay Iberia.

The original format was created in Israel by July August for Keshet Broadcasting. In addition to the Spanish version, the format has a total of 21 international adaptations, including countries such as Colombia (Caracol), Argentina (Telefe), the United States (Fox), France (TF1), Chile (TVN) and Hungary (TV2).

Boom! pits two teams of four players against each other, each of whom has to defuse a total of ten bombs by answering different questions, the answers to which are represented by each of the colored wires.
